Welcome to my World!

This site is mainly devoted to being a showcase of my photography from years of travelling and hiking across my beloved state of California.

If you want variety there is no better place to be, at least in the States. Where else can you go from hiking in the desert in the morning, to skiing in the mountains at noon, and then finish the day surfing in the Pacific Ocean. Or, start your day in Death Valley (-282 ft.) at the lowest elevation in the U.S., then hike Mt. Whitney (14,494 ft.) to summit the highest point in the contiguous U.S.

I am just an amateur photographer with an average camera but combining my enjoyment of hiking and photography is a key interest in my life. I hope you enjoy browsing my photos and find something of interest.

'S Rioghal Mo Dhream

Royal Is My Race

Heaven gave Rob Roy a dauntless heart,
And wondrous length and strength of era,
Nor craved he more to quell his foes,
Or keep his friends from harm.

Yet was Rob Roy as wise as brave
Forgive me if the phrase he strong
A poet worthy of Rob Roy
Must scorn a timid song.

Bear witness many a pensive sigh
Of thoughtful herdsman when he strays
Alone upon Loch Veol’s heights,
And by Loch Lomond’s braes!
